My brother and his family (who live in Washington State) invited us to spend the 4th of July with them at Crystal's families house on Lake Chelan. We flew into Seattle where Kevin picked us up -at like 1am- and drove us to his house to sleep for a couple hours. On our drive to Chelan, we stopped for lunch at this little restaurant on the edge of Leavenworth (this is a darling town designed to look and feel like you are in Germany). The sign says they have the BEST burgers in town-well, I don't know about that, but they did have the best (and biggest) fried shrimp I've ever had! YUMMY!
Here is a pic of the house-it is one of just a few that has a sandy beach area which is SOOO nice for the kids-and a few of the kids playing. The water in Lake Chelan is some of the cleanest anywhere-if it hadn't been so cold, I might have done more than take rides on the sea-doos and in the boats. All my kids loved being there enjoying the water, cousins, new friends-they enjoyed all of it. Bruce and I did too!! Thanks Kevin and Crystal for inviting us-we love our memories of this vacation!
